The VETS Group is a non-profit 501(c)3 Community Based Organization offering a holistic program for
Military Veterans and their famiies to achieve Economic Empowerment through

Education, Employment, & Entrepreneurship

Just recently through an extrordinary opportunity by MBC Color Printing & Imaging,
we can now host events and training sessions from our own facility.
In just the first 3 months of the Center's operation, nearly 300 hundred veterans have attended:

(1) Financial Literacy Seminar & Networking Reception;
(2) Small Business Matchmaker with Federal Agencies;
(3) Whitehouse Recovery Implementation Office Seminar; and
(4) PC Lab and Internet Bar Demo.

Plans are underway to make this a model program..
The Vets Group is building a distinguished Coalition of Advisors, a diverse listing of Patriot Resource Partners, and establishing relationships with a number of Technical Assistance Providers such as: the Center for Veterans Enteprise (CVE), the Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs), the Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTACs), Service Core of Retired Executives (SCORE) and othe Veteran Busines Resource Centers (VBRCs).

The Vets Group has also partnered with the MDM Limited Group to provide advice on equiping the Center with
State-of-the-Art technologies and recruiting Certified Instructors.

The VETS Group is also a member of the VET-Force (Veterans Entrepreneurship Task Force),
the highly respected organization that advises Congress on how Federal Agencies can increse procurement opportunities for veteran business owners.

As we come to the end of the this year, we are preparing our Events Calendar and
Training Schedule for January 2010 which includes:

Word - 9th Excel - 16th PowerPoint - 23rd Outlook - 30th

Federal Procurement Bootcamp (Jan 13th - 9 am - 5 pm)

(Intensive full day session designed to provide business owners with the help they need to succeed in the Federal Marketplace)

Transition Assistance Bootcamp for Veterans (Jan 14 - 9 am - 4 pm)

(Resume preparation, Interview techniques, Job Search Strategies)
